Arup

InterEngineering are pleased to welcome Arup as one of its corporate partners. Arup and InterEngineering have collaborated on several good practice events to further improve the inclusion of the InterEngineering sector throughout our history. We are looking forward to improving inclusion together.

Connect Out is Arup’s LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and related communities) diversity network for the UKIMEA region. The network exists to ensure that LGBT+ issues are embedded in Arup’s EDI agenda, and to advocate for a work environment that respects, welcomes and supports LGBT+ professionals, and empowers them to perform to their fullest potential and contribute to the greater goals of the firm. Connect Out aims to support the delivery of Arup’s EDI strategy by monitoring the firm’s policies for their LGBT+ inclusivity, fostering an inclusive culture through awareness raising and events, ensuring LGBT+ inclusion is integral to the delivery of Arup’s work, and taking a leading role in the sector through extensive collaboration with other networks, firms and community groups.
Why is Arup supporting InterEngineering?
Arup shares the aims of InterEngineering to provide a welcome and supportive space for LGBT engineers, to provide opportunities to share experiences and to promote diversity in the sector. Arup made its name as a leading design and engineering firm, and although today we bring together a much broader range of specialists, we continue to be passionate about building a stronger and more inclusive engineering sector. We see InterEngineering playing a central role in achieving this.
