In celebration of LGBTQ+ History Month 2023, we are excited to showcase LGBTQ+ people in STEM through a very special evening of TED-style talks, entertainment and socialising. The event is being jointly-sponsored by InterEngineering, Intertech and the Proud Science Alliance, a first partnership for these three organisations, all of which focus on raising the bar on LGBTQ+ inclusion across the STEM sector. Come prepared to learn, be challenged, to laugh and to be entertained. You will also have the opportunity to meet and connect with colleagues across the STEM sector.
We will be hosted by the Francis Crick Institute who have kindly provided the venue and refreshments for the evening.

Our MC for the evening will be Kuan-wen! Kuan-wen stumbled upon stand-up comedy in Berlin during his break from a corporate career in November 2015. He relocated back to Britain in summer 2016 to purse a career in comedy.
Often described as a fast-paced and an “effervescent” performer on stage, Kuan-wen blends his observations of a bewildered immigrant with his bubbly gay persona and other contrasting experiences – a UK chartered accountant and tax advisor during the day, a lieutenant discharged from the Taiwanese army and a son of an elitist tiger mum. Kuan-wen asks pertinent questions on gender, race, social classes and cultural differences and pokes fun at himself, his host country and pretty much everyone else.
Please do sign up and enjoy seeing the showcase of talent LGBTQ+ in STEM.
