We invite you to our first InterEngineering site tour in partnership with E.On and Citigen.
Citigen Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant in the heart of the City of London delivers hot water (used for heating) and cold water (for air conditioning) to buildings across London via a 6km heat network and a 4.5km cold water network as well as generating power for the national grid. E.ON Community Energy have recently upgraded Citigen with new modern CHP engines to ensure the site can deliver reliable, low carbon heat to its customers like the Barbican and the Museum of London for years to come. Citigen is also home for E.ON’s 24/7 national district heating control centre which monitors and controls over 33 networks across the UK.
Delegates will have the opportunity to walk around the plant situated in the vaults of the 100-year-old listed building and see first hand low carbon, distributed energy in in the heart of the city. Networking drinks and nibbles will be provided afterwards at Smiths of Smithfield nearby.
Cost for this event is £10 per ticket and is also subject to £1.74 Eventbrite booking fee making total cost £11.74 per ticket. This event has a strictly limited capacity. Therefore, we would encourage you to purchase your ticket as early as possible as we expect demand will be high.
