2019 is marking 50 years since the Stonewall Riots that led to the modern fight for LGBT+ rights. This month we are celebrating and recognising the fights for LGBT+ rights along history, as well as rising awareness about the need to continue advancing in rights equality and overcoming major challenges.
According to Stonewall, Engineering has one of the lowest rates of LGBT+ workforce in the UK. This situation is significantly more challenging for LGBT+ women since the sector is also dominated by males. In this event we are exploring the evolution of LGBT+ women representation in engineering and discussing about the challenges and solutions to advance towards a more inclusive and diverse industry.
Join InterEngineering, WISE Campaign and Amey for this celebration of the LGBT+ History Month.
