Here are some of our most frequently asked questions:
Does it cost anything to be an InterEngineering member?
Becoming a member is free and as simple as signing up to our mailing list.
Do I have to be lesbian / gay / bisexual / transgender to be an InterEngineering member?
No- InterEngineering is for everyone who believes that LGBT diversity and inclusion is important. We welcome straight allies to sign-up, come to our events, browse our resources and join us.
What type of engineering do I have to be in?
InterEngineering is an inclusive organisation- if you consider yourself within the engineering industry then you are more than welcome. Our members currently include people from the civil, chemical, electronic, mechanical and software engineering industries, as well as those within the armed forces.
Do I have to be an engineer to become a member?
No- you just have to be in a role within the engineering profession. Our members include practising engineers as well as students, officers within the professional institutions and human resources staff working to improve diversity and inclusion within their companies.
Do I have to be a member of InterEngineering to come to one of your events?
The only requirement to come to one of our free events is that you register before hand so we have an idea of numbers. When you register you’ll be added to our mailing list (which will effectively make you a member of InterEngineering); you can unsubscribe at any time.
Is InterEngineering only for people working in London?
InterEngineering is currently run by people predominately working within London- however we have aspirations to grow nationally and connect with sympathetic groups worldwide. At the moment we are limited by location of our committee members and are actively seeking people outside of London to take the lead and run events nationally; we will give you our full support.
