InterEngineering attended National Student Pride on the 10th of February to provide representation for the engineering industry to over 1000 students who attended the event. Students travelled from across the UK to the city of London which hosted panel discussions, fun events and a large careers fair.
Many engineering companies were present at student pride including:
- EDF Energy
- BuroHappold Engineering
- Rolls-Royce
- Arup
- Fujitsu
- Royal NAVY
- Skanska
- ATKINS
- Ford
- IBM
- British ARMY
- Network Rail
Our London and South East Co-chairs Peter Gordon and Michael Reynard and Midlands Co-chair Shaun Peacock brought their charm, professional information about InterEngineering, and a “make-a-wish” energy L.E.D. button, which attracted many students to the stall. A laptop was displayed playing inspirational testimonial videos of members of InterEngineering, “What’s it like? Being an LGBT engineer”. Looking forward to next year!
